The Before Heaven Blueprint
The complete Before Heaven Blueprint analyses twelve celestial bodies—ranging from the Sun to Pluto, including the True Node and South Node—using five interpretive traditions in a single calculation. Each placement includes its tropical degree, Xiantian hexagram gate and line, corresponding tarot decan, stars and shat-chakra association. The result is a detailed portrait of your structural design, offering a depth of insight that no single-system reading can provide.
This is where the interpretive layer begins. The Snapshot reveals what exists. The Standard Report provides the detail, while a full Before Heaven Blueprint will reveal the significance.
Each placement in the report includes a written analysis that incorporates the imagery of the I Ching hexagrams, the planetary dignity or debility associated with that degree, and the specific psychological territory of the tarot key. When themes overlap—meaning the same concept is represented in different symbolic languages—the report clearly identifies them. Conversely, if there are conflicts, those are addressed as well. The report does not shy away from presenting the complexities. The structure of a chart naturally includes its tensions, which often hold the most valuable insights.
The report outlines both your defined and undefined centres, showing where your energy is consistent and where it is influenced by the environment.
The Before Heaven Blueprint is based on a structural correction to the Xiantian sequence of Human Design. Gate 44 is anchored at 0° Cancer, and the wheel rotates clockwise. Five traditions are computed simultaneously for each placement, rather than being added on afterwards. This approach provides the highest granularity currently available in this field.

Tropical or Sidereal?
Today, people use two main types of astrology: tropical and sidereal.
Tropical astrology is the most common type in the West. If you live in a Western country, this is probably the kind you know best. It is also the most widely used astrology online.
Sidereal astrology is most popular in the East, especially in India. Vedic, or Hindu, astrology is based on this system. It is less common online and in Western countries, so you might have only heard about it recently.
So, what makes tropical and sidereal astrology different?
Tropical and sidereal astrology use different methods to determine your astrological signs. Each is its own zodiac system.
Tropical astrology bases its zodiac system on the Earth’s seasons. It begins the zodiac wheel at the vernal point, which is where the Sun is during the spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Any planet passing this point enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac.
Sidereal astrology uses the actual positions of the stars in the sky for its zodiac system. Aries starts where it appears in the sky. Because this can be interpreted in different ways, there are several forms of sidereal astrology. However, all of them are based on the visible sky.

A Before Heaven Reading is a one-hour Zoom session based on your finished Blueprint report. You’ll get the full PDF ahead of time, so please read it before our call. Instead of repeating what’s in the report, we’ll have a real conversation about what it means for you right now.
We begin with the main structure of your chart: your Personality and Design Sun and Earth placements, the nodal axis, and any clear patterns from the four traditions. This is the heart of your chart. Most people recognise it right away, while some feel uneasy. Both reactions are helpful.
After that, we focus on what needs your attention. This could be a tension between placements, an empty centre that has influenced your choices without you realising it, or a pattern across traditions that highlights something you’ve sensed for years but haven’t named. The report is your map. The reading helps you find your place on it.
I use all four layers: astrology, I Ching, tarot, and the chakra system. I keep each tradition separate, since each has its own logic. When they agree, it matters. When they don’t, that’s important too. I’ll point out both.
This isn’t therapy or coaching. There’s no action plan or accountability. You’ll get a clear, detailed reading of your design, explained in simple terms, with time for your questions. What you choose to do with it is up to you.
